GCSE Results 2019

22nd August 2019

Woodcote students once again excelled in their GCSE results against a backdrop of increasing challenge and rising grade boundaries. Topping the class of 2019 collecting their results today was Connie Hemmings, who celebrated her achievement of attaining eleven GCSEs, nine at Grade 9 and two at Grade 8. Close on her heels was Sophie Dudman, also attaining eleven GCSEs, four at Grade 9, six at Grade 8 and one at Grade 7. This was closely followed by Georgia Soper, achieving nine GCSEs at Grade 9-7. Starring for the boys were George Worsfield with three 9s three 8s and four 7s Jack Clark (who played Danny in our school production of ‘Grease’) and Hussam Khan, both obtaining eleven GCSEs, all at Grade 9-7.

Retiring Headteacher, Mark Southworth, expressed his delight with the results, stating “I was thrilled to spend one of my last days at Woodcote congratulating so many outstanding students who have achieved so much during their time at school. They are a credit to their teachers and parents, who supported them so well.”
