A Level Results Day 2019

15th August 2019

A level results day 2019

Sixth form Students and staff at Woodcote High School were today celebrating another year of superb results both for A-level and Vocational qualifications. Our results this year and in particular our substantial achievements at the highest A* and A grades have further consolidated our position as one of the highest achieving schools/colleges in the area in terms of both A-level and Vocational level 3 student performance.

There were many outstanding individual results which have enabled a record number of students to achieve their first-choice university places. Topping the class of 2019, both Demi Ojo and Usman Sharif achieved A*, A* and A grades which will enable them to take up their places to study Medicine at UCL and Imperial respectively. Luke Carew our Head Boy achieved an amazing A* and two As and is off to Kings College London to read European Politics. Our students’ excellent grades have enabled them to succeed in obtaining places to study diverse degree courses from Architecture to Veterinary Science at top universities including Warwick, Birmingham, Kings College London Nottingham and Sussex.

We are also delighted with the achievement of many individual students in achieving high quality work and apprenticeship opportunities.

Headteacher Mark Southworth said: “Our results today are a testament to the hard work and commitment of both students and staff. I am delighted that as the founding Head of Woodcote sixth form, my final set of results before I retire in September should be one of our strongest on record.  We congratulate our students and wish them every success for the future.”
